Dino

He loves that Dinosaur. I love that intertube thing. He's pretty good at sitting up by himself better every day actually but it's nice that I don't have to hover over him constantly if he falls he just bumps into the tube and pushes himself back up. It has crinkly bits hanging off of it too and apparently crinkly things are like crack to babies. You can also load that thing up with toys and books and it entertains him long enough for me to do my hair and make up. :) I like that.

London, Sharks and Chipotle

For Alan's birthday we went to the London aquarium and I surprised him with a special Shark Feeding "Experience" he loved it. If you know Alan very well you know he has a weird love of sharks. He might like shark week more than Christmas so this was right up his alley.

Aquariums are dark and you can't use a flash so everything comes out a little blury on an iPhone which is a shame because a lot of the animals are beautiful.

Here's some of the shark stuff. There were 12 sharks. Between 3ft and one was over 9 feet. It's was a lot of shark. Basically you put big fish at the end of a pole and the sharks attack it. A few times Alan said it was hard to hold onto the pole which of course he loved.

Silas loved the lights, colourful fish and other sea creatures. It was a super relaxing and great day out.

Silas picked up a thing or two from his Shark buddies. We of course went to Chipotle for dinner :)

Little Lorax

Man he looks cute in everything!

Sunday Best

Couldn't you eat this face??? Do you spy his little teeth? This was the outfit he rocked at church. Everyone loved it. They said he looked very American which is funny because he wore that hat and suspenders in America and everyone said he looked British. It's all perspective I guess.
Baby feet are the best!
Ah the bond between father and son. So precious.
Bahaha! :) He clearly is a daddy's boy. Don't worry I love watching them together. ;)

Six Months!

I know every mother every where says this but time goes so quickly with babies! It's one of those universal truths that seems to cross cultures and continents. Babies grow quickly and develop crazy fast. You blink and they're sitting up and eating! I can't believe how perfectly Si fits into our little family. We love him so much! Now I don't want to seem like everything is perfect all the time. It's definitely not. All three of us get grumpy and have bad days. The three weeks after we got back from CA were doosies. Si had so much going on it was crazy! He had jetlag, an infection for which he had antibiotics that made his tummy upset, he had a growth spurt, he all of a sudden needed to start solids because he was sooo hungry even after his growth spurt, he got two teeth! It was just a lot. But thankfully we've had a reprieve from all that craziness and we're back on schedule. Praise The Lord!

Food glorious food...

My big little guy just keeps growing. We've been on "solids" for a few weeks. He's an awesome little eater most days other days he couldn't care less (especially about pears). We've tried baby rice, baby porridge, (it's what the English call their oatmeal not like what Americans call porridge) carrots and pears. He's too cute I can't stand it. I just want to eat him!

Everyone Loves Alan

Silas is for sure a daddy's boy. When Alan's in the room that boy is all smiles and happiness. But I can't blame him I feel like that too :)

Smiley

Yesterday we had our first tooth pop through the gums! So needless to explain  that today was much better than yesterday!
I love his face!!!

Jetlag, Teething and Antibiotics

It's how I feel too buddy.

California Knows How To Party

We were in California for just shy of a month... and I loved it! It was a super refreshing time for both Alan and I. Half way through I may have wanted to stay there forever. Let's just say it's really good Jesus is amazing and helps work through all those selfish things. This was easily one of the best trips back to CA that we've had. So here's some pictures... Ok maybe a lot of pictures. :)
Ok so we pretty much have the best baby ever. He did amazing on the plane! Better than I could have hoped! Love this dude.
So many people got to meet Silas for the first time it was super special for us to be able to introduce Silas to all the people we love. Above is Si meeting his Grandma for the first time! (Notice the stuffed pigeon)
Si and Grandpa were instant buddies.
First time meeting Auntie Kira! (Still trying to get her to let Si call her Aunt Ki Ki but no luck so far. If you know her tell her how cute that would be!)
Instant besties!
The Berthiaume's love the Jacksons like a lot. Silas is out but I love this pic. Dad's and their baby sons. We just needed Luke to be in this picture to be complete.
I was so happy and kinda emotional about getting to meet these beauties! Gwen & Gracen are the cutest twins ever! (Shhhh Cari your boys are the handsomest)
I really can't explain or put into words how much I love and miss my sister. Two years was too long! Over two years actually. Hopefully never again.
Alan speaking in Crossroads
At our open house.
Gary Michael, Alan Michael and Silas Michael. You get it.
Meeting cousin Kaelyn
Love this picture. I love how much these men cuddled and loved on my Si Si. So sweet.
Out for a stroll and soaking in the sun! I can't tell you how appreciative we are of sunny days now! As our skin can attest they are too few here in England. (Look at those awesome sun glasses Rachel got me! I literally had headache's when we first got there from the SUN!)
I loved being able to just text Kira and meet up randomly at Target. She's the best little sis! She lets me dress her in rediulous outfits, take pictures and post them online! But seriously can someone please buy those leggings for real?
He was 5 months while we were there. I'm not going to even comment on how I feel about that.
There's really no way to convay how much I love this picture. It's the background on my phone. Everytime I see I can just hear him say "Mama Mia".
The Lord heard my prayers and has given me the most wonderful family I could have even asked Him for. My boys bless me more than I thought possible. So thankful for them. Like a deep heart bursting kind of thankful.
These ladies took me out for some birthday fun. I am also super thankful for each of them! (It was a trip full of thankfulness and blessings if you can't tell) These women were a big part of how much we felt loved on and blessed during this trip. Thanks for being the best ladies! They took me out to eat and then Cari let us take over her living room for some yummy coldstone for dessert. So glad I got to spend my bday with the four of them.
Ending this post the cutest way I know how. With Silas ;)

Time Discrepancy

Seriously? I will probably say this every single month/year for the rest of his life but how does time move this quickly? I love this guy, and he loves sucking on his bottom lip all. the. time. Cutie patootie.

Cowboy Duck

Progress! He's doing so much better about bath time. He actually smiles and seems interested in taking a bath! It's been a long time coming. Little man has gone from hating baths to being semi tolerant of them and now we have semi interested in them. Woowhoo it's a breakthrough really. Funny how happy it makes me to bath a non screaming infant. :)
On a side note…I could just eat those chubby little arms.

Silas and His Daddy

I love these boys. I love how much they love each other! And they're cute too :)

Are There Words?

I don't think the English language has adequate words to express how thankful I am. Silas is the perfect fit into our family. I don't think the family God puts us in is a coincidence and I feel so blessed that God choose me to be Si's mom.

3

Well I just can't believe it's been 3 months since he was born. Feels like yesterday that we were waiting for him to arrive. Going on walks, eating spicy foods, bouncing on that Swiss ball, tea's, you name it we tried it all well except for castor oil, yuck.
Let's see right now he loves his play mat, sucking on his thumb, grabbing everything and sticking it in his mouth and daddy. He's laughed three times all at his daddy, I'm not getting jealous... Well maybe a little. I have tried everything! I'm just not as funny apparently. ;)
He dislikes baths and his car seat.
He seems huge to me! He's definitely lost that new baby look and is like a man! Ok maybe I exaggerate but to me he's so different already. I wish he could stay my little baby forever but since he can't I'll just enjoy watching him grow. I can't believe I get to be his mommy, best job ever!

Splish Splash

We are making progress with the bath time. He doesn't scream the whole time anymore, just at the end when we take him out and get him dressed. He's not exactly happy in the bath but he tolerates it with lots of encouragement. So strange that he's 3 months old this Monday. Already flying by but it seems like he's always been here, in a good way. ;)

Say it isn't so.

Little man is 12 weeks old today. It's going by so fast already. I just want to soak in this cuteness. I love his little lumber jack shirt.
